Create a fabulous quilt with all those odd bits and pieces that accumulate when you square up quilts, trim off selvages and cut odd shapes.  This block starts with a foundation fabric and uses a flip-and-sew technique to attach strips of fabric to the foundation.  There is no fussy measuring, no templates, no precision cutting, no pattern to worry about and my favorite part is no need to match!  A quick, inexpensive quilt that goes together in no time.

Come make this 36 block quilt in no time. Similar to the Spider web, this quilt uses many fabrics and builds the foundation on the faux sashing shown in this flyer as cream. You start with 36 – ten inch squares and flip and fold your way into this beautiful Monaco quilt. The best part…. No need to match! This quilt will be finished in no time.

Supply List:

  • Monaco Magic
    • Sewing Machine in good working order
    • Basic sewing tools
    • Personal cutting mat and rotary cutter large enough to work with 10” square blocks and cut strips up to 14” long
    • Pencil and/or marking tools
    • Optional, June Tailor® Ruler #JT-796
    • Neutral thread
    • A solid fabric for your “sashings” cut into 4 10-1/2" x 10-1/2"” blocks for a pillow; if you are making the full size quilt, you will need 36 10-1/2" x 10-1/2"” blocks
    • An assortment of fabrics for your quilt cut into strips in widths ranging from 1” to 2-1/2” – you will be using an assortment of all widths
    • Optional: personal iron (plugs permitting)
