< Workshops Workshop: 02-Secret Garden

Create your own special garden by layering the classic Dresden plate to make beautiful flowers. Learn how new technology helps you to experiment with different colors of fabrics and placements of designs. Finish your beautiful quilt using my easy machine appliqué technique.

This is typically best as a multi-day class, or a two part scheduled several weeks apart.  BUT – I just made this sample of My Secret Garden as a table runner, and it’s a new favorite for me… So, YES – now we can do this class as a ONE-DAY!

For the One-Day, make your background before coming to class, it can be a whole cloth, take several of your favorite fat quarters and sew them together for your quilt top.  Bring that to class and get ready to grow your own individual garden!

Using your favorite  fabrics along with the following items and let’s customize and make you your own “Secret Garden.”

Step one is to learn how to make and assemble flowers and discuss possible backgrounds.

In a follow up class, we will then work on the “design” and decide how best to show your garden.
